William "Will" Broers

William “Will” G. Broers, age 31, of Windom, passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening, Jan. 24, at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 30, at the Assembly of God Church in Willmar.  Visitation will be two hour prior to the service at the church.  Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.  www.petersonbrothers.com

William “Will” George Broers was born on May 11, 1989, in Willmar, MN., the son of Larry Broers and Mary Sletta.  He grew up in Maynard and attended school in Maynard, Clara City and Montevideo.  His career began in Montevideo at Duffy’s Good Time Bar & Saloon and was currently the manager at Duffy’s Bar & Grill in Windom.  In 2017, Will met his love, Jessica Foy at a mutual friends wedding.  On October 16, 2020, they became engaged.  She was the missing piece to Will and his three children, Travis, Carmen and Elizabeth.  Will cherished spending time with his kids, friends and family and planning his future with Jess.  He enjoyed playing basketball and volleyball with his friends.  He had a great sense of humor and a contagious smile.  He was loved by many.

He is survived by his fiancé, Jessica Foy; his three children, Travis, Carmen and Elizabeth Broers; his parents, Larry Broers and Mary Sletta; two brothers, Travis Bratsch and Jeremy Bratsch and one sister, Kari Broers, besides several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; a sister-in-law, Ashley Bratsch and a nephew, Sean Broers.
