William Rolfs

William "Bill" M. Rolfs, age 79, of Richmond and formerly of Sauk Centre, died Sunday evening, March 31, at the Cherrywood of Richmond Assisted Living Center.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24 at the Montrose Cemetery near Verndale, MN.  There is no reviewal or visitation.  Funeral arrangements are with the Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. www.petersonbrothers.com

William "Bill" Marlin Rolfs was born on June 20, 1939, in Barrett, Minnesota, the son of Bruno and Ruth (Zellmer) Rolfs.  When he was a young boy, the family moved to the Staples area where Bill attended school and graduated from Staples High School in 1957.  On November 22, 1969, Bill was married to Kathy Rose Marquette.  They made their home in Sauk Centre which is where Bill lived most of his adult life.  Since 2014, Bill has resided at Cherrywood Assisted Living in Richmond.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy of Evansville and one sister, Joanna Rolfs of Richmond, VA., besides other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Henry, Rudolph and Elwood.
