Trevor was born on January 27, 1988, in New Ulm, Minnesota, the son of Troy and Pam (Leighton) Robinson. He grew up in the Pennock community and graduated from Willmar High School in 2006. Trevor completed the welding program at Ridgewater College and began his career with Magnuson Sheet Metal. On May 7, 2011, Trevor was united in marriage to Dana Young. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure, making their home near Sunburg and welcoming two children, Teller and Blakely, who were the pride and joy of his life.
Trevor was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. He was happiest outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and spending time on the pontoon on Diamond Lake. He loved deer shed hunting and looked forward to every opportunity to be in the woods. Trevor was always keeping busy, whether working in his shop, tackling home improvement projects, or finding something that needed fixing. He especially treasured working side-by-side with his children, teaching them new skills, sharing projects, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Trevor loved time spent with family and friends. He enjoyed traveling and looked forward to annual trips to Leech Lake, Canada, and the Dakotas. Summer vacations at Leech Lake became treasured family traditions filled with fishing, boating, laughter, and time together. Some of his favorite moments were the simple ones: gathering around a bonfire at the cabin, sharing stories, and enjoying the company of those he loved most.
As a devoted father, Trevor rarely missed an opportunity to support Teller and Blakely. Whether it was a sporting event, school function, concert, or activity, he took great pride in cheering them on and celebrating their accomplishments. His family was always at the center of his life, and he found his greatest happiness in simply being together.
Trevor will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his willingness to lend a hand, his sense of humor, and his deep love for family and friends. More than anything, he cherished the life he shared with Dana, Teller, and Blakely. The memories he created, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave will remain in the hearts of those who knew him forever.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dana; his two children, Teller and Blakely; parents, Troy and Pam Robinson of Pennock; siblings, Niki (Jeremy) Cobb and their children, Oaklee, Knoxlee, Raynlee, and Huklee, of Parrottsville, Tennessee; and Jacob (Ramsi) Robinson and their daughter, Leona, of Marshall; maternal grandparents, Carrol and Julia Leighton of Burnsville; parents-in-law, Mike and Leah Young of Sunburg; sister-in-law, Demi Young and her son, Walker Rumsey, of Sunburg; grandmother-in-law, Marilyn Young of Sunburg; along with many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Louie and Janice Robinson, and his aunt, Kerri Robinson.
