Robert Kenneth Bolstad

Robert K. Bolstad, age 85, of Willmar, passed away Thursday afternoon, June 29, at Bethesda Grand in Willmar.

Robert Kenneth Bolstad was born on June 10, 1938, in Edgeley, North Dakota, the son of Ludwig and Florence (Caussins) Bolstad.   He grew up and received his education in Lennox, Brandon and Milbank, South Dakota.  In 1960, Robert was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Keough and they lived throughout Minnesota.  He was employed as a maintenance technician at Senior Complers in Minneapolis, as semi-truck driver working for Duininck Inc. and hauling sugar beets for Riley; and later owned and operated Bolstad Resort on Lake Travers near Browns Valley.  He retired from Honeywell Company.  Robert enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time outdoors, especially with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia of Willmar; one son, Brian Bolstad of Minneapolis; six grandchildren, Jenny, Josh, Stephanie, Tyler, Gaborick and Max; five great grandchildren, Taylor, Carter, Brody, Bryn Lee and Jace; besides other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Wesley and Scott; and seventeen siblings.
