Ricardo Trevino

Ricardo Trevino, age 57, of Pennock, passed away Thursday, March 19, at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. followed by a celebration of life service at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.  www.petersonbrothers.com

Ricardo was born on March 4, 1969, in Weslaco, Texas, the son of Guadalupe and Maria (Hernandez) Trevino.  He grew up and received his education in Weslaco and moved to Minnesota in 1999.  Over the years, Ricardo was employed at Jenni-O Foods in Willmar, Brainard International Raceway and the Cub Foods Bakery in Brainard.  

Ricardo loved being a father and grandpa.  He enjoyed watching football (a Steelers and Chiefs fan), riding his bike around town, playing billiards, listening to country music and hanging around with family and friends.

He is survived by five children, Ruby, April, Richy Jr., Crystal and Tanya; many grandchildren; three siblings, Deborah (and Mike) Volkenant of Pennock, Steven Esteban of Pennock and Gilbert Trevino of Texas; besides other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Guadalupe Trevino Jr.
