Ramon Emilio Rascon

Ramon E. Rascon, age 41, of Fargo and formerly of Willmar, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, April 27, at his residence in Fargo.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 4, at the Church of St. Mary in Willmar.  Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Tuesday, May 3, at the Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Peterson Brothers Funeral Home.  www.petersonbrothers.com

Ramon Emilio Rascon was born on May 9, 1980, in Olivia, Minnesota.  He grew up in McAllen, Texas and in 1991, moved to Willmar where he finished his education.  Ramon was employed at Divine House for many years, West Central Sanitation and was recently employed at Frito Lay in Fargo, North Dakota.

Ramon was a very talented artist.  He enjoyed art, poetry, dancing, nature and going on long drives.  He will be best remembered for being light hearted, easy going and having a great sense of humor.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Blanca Mejia and Abel Ramirez of Willmar; three daughters, Estrella, Esperanza and Sofia Rascon; and a companion, Claudia Mijares, who is mother of his youngest daughter.  Also surviving are his four siblings, Yesenia Almanza of Tempe, AZ., Arcadio (and Monica) Salinas Jr. of Willmar, Adrian (and Karina) Salinas of Willmar and Bella Mejia of Willmar, besides many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
