Quintin Gerard Schreiner, age 18, of Willmar, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning, October 30, at his residence.
A celebration of life gathering will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, at the Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. www.petersonbrothers.com
Quintin was born on March 28, 2005, in Willmar, Minnesota, the son of Veronica Schreiner. He grew up and received his education in the Willmar community. Quintin was recently employed in the manufacturing industry in Litchfield.
Quintin was a kind, smart, generous and thoughtful young man. Quintin always knew the right things to say to someone he loved if they were upset. He made a habit of carrying a pocket-sized bible with him and finding a verse to fit the right moment of crisis. He was caring to those he was close to and would be there for someone at the drop of a hat. Quintin was always making jokes to lighten the mood. He found comfort in humor and used it to comfort those around him.
Quintin loved many things. He loved old music, collecting, marvel comics, his cats Lucky and Fenrir, and he loved his family. Quintin loved hard. Unfortunately, Quintin fought an ongoing battle against depression and had moments where he felt so low that he believed he would not recover.
Quintin may have lost his battle, but his family tries to find peace in the fact that Quintin is where he wanted to be. He’s in heaven, at home with God just like he wanted. He was so loved and is deeply missed by those around him.
Survivors include his loving mother, Veronica of Willmar; two brothers, Alec (and friend, Deztany) and Evan (and friend, Jeremy), both of Willmar; grandparents, Gerard and Carol Schreiner of Willmar; one aunt, Vanessa Sanchez of Willmar and his special friend, Valerie Gassler of Willmar, besides other relatives and many friends.
