Patricia (Kerber-Wacha) Weekley

Patricia Ann (Kerber-Wacha) Weekley, age 86, of New London, passed away Monday morning, July 20, at Glen Oaks Care Center in New London.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of service. A private interment will be held at St. Hubert's Catholic Cemetery in Chanhassen at a later date. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. www.petersonbrothers.com

Patricia was born on September 22, 1933, in Chanhassen, Minnesota, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Klein) Kerber. She grew up in Chanhassen, was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith, graduated from Chanhassen High School in 1951 and received nurses training. She was employed as a LPN at Rice Memorial Hospital for many years. In 1982, Patricia moved to Prescott Valley, Arizona and was employed at the VA Hospital in Prescott, retiring in 2002. In 2007, she moved back to Minnesota. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Patricia had a strong faith and was devoted in serving the Lord. Many will remember her for being full of laughter and being a professional clown. She enjoyed dancing, country music, traveling, dressing up for Halloween and decorating for Christmas. Patricia cherished being involved with her families activities and her grandchildren.

She is survived by three children, Jill (and Billy) Stewart of New London, Dean (and Lynn) Wacha of Rockford and Gail Wacha of Willmar; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Margie Ehr of Savage and Marie (and Jim) Travers of California, besides other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Leander, Paul and Arthur; and two sisters, Angie and Teresa.
