Minnie C. Hintz, age 91, of Atwater, died Monday morning, December 4, at her home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 6, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Atwater with Rev. Daniel Belgum-Blad officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery in Atwater. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with the Atwater Funeral Home.
Minnie Caroline Hintz was born March 29, 1915, in rural Atwater, the daughter of Henry and Anna (Becker) Mahn. She grew up and attended school in rural Atwater and was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church. On June 25, 1941, she married Everett R. Hintz. They lived and farmed in rural Atwater. In 1971, Minnie began her employment with Jennie-O Foods and worked there for 15 years.
She is survived by her children: Jerrel (and Carol) Hintz of Atwater and Jeanette (and David) Nelson of Litchfield; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, besides other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1989; two brothers: Walter Mahn and Melvin Mahn and one sister: Adeline Olson.
