Mary Louise Seeman (Schneider) was born in Willmar, Minnesota, on April 14,1933, the daughter of Viola (Gunderson) and Charles Schneider. A 1951 graduate of Willmar Senior High School, Mary continued her education at Saint Cloud State Teachers College, taught in a one-room schoolhouse in Miller, South Dakota, and soon met and married the love of her life.

Jack and Mary were wed on June 30, 1956, and eventually moved their growing family to settle in Willmar where Mary stayed home and raised their four children.  The queen of socializing, Mary cultivated lifelong friendships filled with bridge, golf, parties, vacations, and of course “happy hour” every day with whomever graced her kitchen table at 4pm.  Mary taught her children and grandchildren the importance of getting to know others, making friends, staying connected, and being silly in life.

A truly unforgettable one-of-a-kind character, Mary left a lasting imprint on every life she touched. She was lovingly called “Our Crazy Grandma” by her own grandchildren as well as their friends and inspired multiple school assigned essays about an influential person in your life.  Mary was immensely proud of her grandkids and kept careful notes on their accomplishments ready to brag at the next bridge party.

Aside from the 1988-1989 Bridge Marathon Ladies Afternoon Group 1 First Place Achievement with her partner, Barb Anderson, Mary’s greatest accomplishment and legacy in life was raising four wonderful children who love each other fiercely and will always be there for each other.

Mary is survived by: Laure (and Jack) Swanson of Willmar, MN, Jim (and Julie) Seeman of Buffalo, WY, Tim (and Stacy) Seeman of Richmond, MN, and Barb (and Dan) Ouimet of Spring Green, WI; one brother, Daniel Schneider of Willmar, MN; seven grandchildren: Amy (and John), Sam (and Amanda), Jacob, Zach, Jennifer (and Max), Aaron, Maddie, “adopted” grandsons Ingrit and Donart; and one great grandchild, Josey Jane.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two brothers: Kenny and Jimmy.
