Mark J. Geer, age 51, of New London, passed away Sunday morning, Jan. 3, at the U of M Fairview Riverside Hospital in Minneapolis.

Mark John Geer was born on November 8, 1969, in Willmar, Minnesota, the son of Charles and Marilyn (Nelson) Geer. He grew up in the New London community, graduated from NL-S High School in 1988 and attended the Willmar Vo-Tech’s Physical Damage and Appraisal program. He was employed for many years at Johnson’s Towing in New London and later at PALS in Willmar. Mark was also self-employed doing automotive body work. He was an active member of the Word of Faith Church in Willmar. From 2008 to 2018, he served on the KRA Speedway board and from 2018 to present served on the WISSOTA board. In 2019, Mark was inducted into the KRA Hall of Fame. His hobbies included dirt track racing, especially at the KRA Speedway, hunting and snowmobiling.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Geer of New London; one brother, Keith Geer of New London and one sister, Penny (and Randy) Paul of Little Falls, besides other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
