Marjorie Reynolds

Marjorie D. Reynolds passed away peacefully on April 6, 2020 at the Carris Health Rice Care Center in Willmar.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home. www.petersonbrothers.com

Marjorie was born on December 30, 1930 to Gust and Bessie (Curtis) Koplos. She was baptized into the Greek Orthodox faith. She attended Willmar Public Schools and graduated in 1948 from Willmar Senior High School. Marjorie spent a year at Macalester College in St. Paul. After returning home she worked at the Willmar State Hospital, where she met Francis “Ole” Reynolds. They were united in marriage on June 1, 1957 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Willmar. They had one son, Michael born in 1961.  Marjorie worked various jobs in Willmar, including the Willmar Insurance Agency, Kandiyohi Power Cooperative, Dr. Duane Hanson, KD’s Apparel, then retiring from Wal-Mart where she was a greeter for nearly 20 years. Marjorie was A Past Noble Grand in the Rebekah Lodge and was also a member of the Willmar Doe’s. She loved to bake and was an avid collector of cookbooks from all over the United States. Marjorie went on many trips with Ole when he was Mayor of Willmar and was able to travel to Greece with her high school classmate Donna Allen.

Marjorie is survived by her son, Michael and his wife Darla; two grandsons, Anthony Reynolds of Dallas, TX and Alex Reynolds of Willmar; one sister Gloria Zimmer of Willmar and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ole in 1991; and her grandson, Stephen in 2011.
