Lavonne "Vonnie" Wallin

Lavonne "Vonnie" M. Wallin, age 98 of Willmar, passed away Monday morning, Oct. 5, at Bethesda Grand in Willmar.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery in Willmar.  Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home.  www.petersonbrothers.com

Vonnie was born on August 4, 1922, in New London, Minnesota, the daughter of Jalmer and Olga (Johnson) Wallin.  She grew up and received her education in Willmar.  Vonnie resided on the north side of Willmar until 2013, when she entered Bethesda Pleasant View.  Vonnie worked as a nannie and also for a while at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home.

Vonnie loved life.  She enjoyed being outdoor, music, shopping and traveling.  She also enjoyed taking care of others, attending church activities, visiting with family and friends and going to the Kandi Mall to walk.

She is survived by one brother, Jerry Wallin of Plymouth and one sister-in-law, Marcia Wallin, besides other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Owen Wallin; two sisters, Jean Jacobson and Mary Lo Olson; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Wallin.
