Larry L. Nacey, age 67, of New London, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 3, at his residence.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, March 13, at the Peterson Brothers Green Lake Funeral Home in Spicer. Interment will be at 12 noon on Monday, March 16, at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls. www.petersonbrothers.com
Larry was born on August 24, 1958, in Tracy, Minnesota, the son of Merle and Grace (Nelson) Nacey. He grew up in Paynesville, graduated from Paynesville High School in 1976 and attended the Auto Mechanic program at Willmar Vo-Tech. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. Following his honorable discharge from the service, he lived and worked briefly in St. Cloud. He returned to Paynesville and worked in the family business, J & M Auto Service. He later owned and operated Exhaust Pros in Owatonna prior to returning to work with his brother again in Paynesville. In 2017, Larry retired and moved to the New London community. He enjoyed bowling, softball and playing card games with the guys. Larry was a member of the Robert Ihlang American Legion Post #537 in New London.
He is survived by his mother, Grace Nacey of Paynesville; two brothers, Roger Nacey of Waite Park and Denny Nacey of Paynesville; besides other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Merle, and sister, Julann.
