Larry was born on June 1, 1955, in Willmar, Minnesota, the son of John and Evelyn (Kallevig) Johnson.  Larry grew up in Willmar and graduated from Willmar High School in 1973.  He attended two years at Willmar Junior College before graduating from the Carlson School of Business Class in 1977 with a BSBA degree. Larry sold real estate and earned a broker’s license.

After trying Real Estate sales right out of college,  Larry switched to computer sales and was employed for three major corporations, Burroughs, Sperry Univac and NCR, a career which lasted for 6 years. Larry then worked in a rental real estate partnership before starting his own company, PCF Management with thirty five employees and operated 100 inner city rental properties located in Minneapolis and St. Paul from 1989 to 1992.  Stressed out and experiencing health problems, Larry shifted careers. He worked shortly at Burger King before hiring on with Calhoun Building Maintenance and transferred to the Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport. Larry also worked for Super America as a customer service representative, Jennie-O Foods and for GSSC as a security guard in the metro area.  Larry returned to Willmar and was rehired by Super America. He received treatment with Psychotropic meds at the now nonexistent Willmar Regional Treatment Center and quit Super America 6 months later with serious health problems that escalated . Larry was debilitated by the meds. He was diagnosed with MS and it was proven in court that his diabetes was caused by one of the meds.

He is survived by one brother, Dean Johnson of Willmar, besides other relatives and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Joan Miller.  Larry searched for long lost relatives in Sweden with help from the Swedish Institute of Minneapolis and reconnected with our father’s youngest brother, Knut Johansson a WW II Vet who died at age 97 and visited us in America at age 92. Knut helped financially.  Thank God for all Human Life and for a Faithful Brother.
