Kathleen Brown

Kathleen "Kathy" Lou Brown, age 64, of Olivia, died Wednesday morning, June 13, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale.


A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 21 at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. www.petersonbrothers.com


Kathleen "Kathy" Lou Brown was born on September 19, 1953, in Brookings, South Dakota, the daughter of Roger and Luella (Hartman) Olson. She grew up in Willmar and graduated from Willmar High School in 1971. In 1973, she was married to Jerome Eliason. They lived for a while in Alaska before returning to Willmar and were later divorced. In 1989, Kathy was married to James Brown. They lived in the communities of Atwater, Kandiyohi, Willmar and Olivia. Kathy was employed as a bookkeeper for a local trucking company. Her hobbies included sewing, quilting and attending area music festivals. She cherished the time spent with her family and friends.


She is survived by one son, Zachary (and Chris) Eliason of Rogers; one daughter, LeTina Brown of Alexandria and two grandchildren. Also surviving are nine siblings, Judy (and Bill) Fischer, Becky (and Kevin) Gilbertson, Cherie (and Dennis) Bradach, Kevin Olson, Pat (and Earl) Schaefer, Shelly Messer, Jackie (and Tom) Rabiola, Mary Jo (and Dan) Foster and Jenny (and Pat) Roncagli, besides other relatives and friends.


She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jim.
