Juan Lozano

Juan M. Lozano, age 74, of Raymond, died Saturday afternoon, June 4, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. www.petersonbrothers.com

Juan Mayorga Lozano was born on January 4, 1942, in Mercedes, Texas, the son of Guadalupe Vela and Aurora Mayorga Garza. He grew up and received his education In Brownsville, Texas and then was employed as a carpenter. In 1984, Juan moved to Nebraska and in 1989, he moved to Willmar. Juan was employed many years at Willmar Poultry Company and was also self employed as a mechanic and carpenter. He attended the Church of St. Mary. Juan enjoyed attending summer festivals and cherished the time spent with his entire family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by seven children, Juan Jr. (and Erika) Lozano of Brownsville, TX., Eric (and Alice) Lozano of Sleepy Eye, Jesus (and Rikki) Lozano of Willmar, Lisa Lozano of Willmar, Barbie (and Jorge) Mayen of Raymond, Jennifer (and Alvaro) Ibarra of Willmar and Jimmy Lee (and Monica) Lozano of Willmar; thirty five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Also surviving are eight sisters, Mary Garza, Eva Maria, Mary Loya, Mercey Cortinas, Susie Ortega, Alice Almaguer, Josie Castle and Lupita Ramos; and seven brothers, Lorenzo, Eliseo, Jose Angel, Guadalupe, Mike, Adan and Tony Vela, besides other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Ricky Lozano in 2009; one granddaughter, Vinessa Lozano in 2012; one sister, Aurora Cortez in 2016 and one brother, Raul Garza in 2004.
