Joyce Lorraine Hille

Joyce Lorraine Hille, age 89, of Willmar, passed away Wednesday, September 24, at Bethesda Grand in Willmar.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, at Oak Hill Cemetery in New London. Arrangements are entrusted to Peterson Brothers Funeral Home. www.petersonbrothers.com

Joyce was born on March 11, 1936, in Pilot Grove Township, Faribault County, Minnesota, the daughter of Tollef and Eleanor (Hagedorn) Hovland. She grew up on a farm near Blue Earth and received her education in a 1 room schoolhouse. Joyce received nurses training at Naeve School of Nursing in Albert Lea. Joyce met Peter Hille while she was working as a nurse at Rice Memorial Hospital. They were married on October 7, 1959, and made their home in the Willmar community.

She is survived by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four siblings (3 sisters and a brother), her husband, Peter in 2023, and her son, Scott in 1999.
