Jonathan D. McClenahan, age 64 of Willmar, died Saturday morning August 21, at his residence from complications of C.O.P.D.

Jonathan David McClenahan was born on July 29, 1957, in Glen Ridge, New Jersey to Rev. Richard Lee and Dorothy Ann (Van Loan) McClenahan. In the 1980’s, he moved to Granite Falls, Minnesota. In 1994, Jonathan moved to Willmar to attend Ridgewater College where he met his future wife, Jennifer Bouressa, in Mr. Fehr’s English Class.
Jonathan left college early and began working for area tree service companies and Tree and Turf. He later become a deliver driver for the West Central Tribune until ill health forced his early retirement. He worked very hard to provide for his family.
Jonathan was a talented chain saw artist and diamond willow carver. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and camping, especially at his in-laws home in Morris. He also enjoyed just being outside with his friends and family. Jonathan married Jennifer (Bouressa) on July 12, 1997 at the home of Jeniffers parents at Morris.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer McClenahan; three sons; Eric (and Kim) McClenahan, Brian (and Tina) McClenahan and Elijah McClenahan; one daughter, Georgia McClenahan and five grandchildren, Kaymin, Brook, Coltyn Draven, and Kiota. Also surviving are his parents, Rev. Richard Lee and Dorothy Anne McClenahan; one sister, Mary Beth (and Burke) Collins; three brothers, Mark, Andrew (and Cheryl) and Richard McClenahan; and one sister, Elizabeth (and Jeff) Ekback, besides numerous nephews, nieces other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one son, Dane; one brother, Timothy; his grandparents; several uncles, one nephew and two brother-in-laws.
