Janice Heck

Janice Heck, age 70, of Willmar, died Thursday morning, February 7, at Bethesda Grand Nursing Home in Willmar.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.  Interment will be at the Delano Cemetery.  Arrangements are  with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.

Janice Kaye Heck was born June 23, 1948, in Watertown, Minnesota, the daughter of Merritt and Muriel (Rohloff) Heck.  She grew up in Brooklyn Park and graduated from Anoka High School in 1966.  Janice then attended St. Cloud State University, graduating with a degree in elementary education.  She lived in Brooklyn Park and served as a media generalist for the Anoka-Hennepin School District for over 30 years.  Janice loved dogs and also was a dog trainer at Twin Cities Obedience for several years.  She lived in Willmar the past few years to live near her sister, Carol.

She is survived by a sister-in-law: Leilaani Heck of Brooklyn Park; a niece: Bethany (and Nathan) Batdorf of Sauk Rapids; a nephew: Nathan Heck of Columbia Heights; a great-niece: Willa; a great-nephew: Graham; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother: Brian Heck; and a sister: Carol Eekhoff.
