Jacqueline “Jackie” Carol Browne, age 94, of Willmar and formerly of Minneapolis, passed away Tuesday, January 27, at Prairie Senior Cottages.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. followed by a celebration of life service at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 9, at the Word of Faith Family Church in Willmar. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Minneapolis. Arrangements are entrusted to Peterson Brothers Funeral Home. www.petersonbrothers.com
Jackie was born on July 10, 1931, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of William and Bessie Burdick. She grew up in south Minneapolis and graduated from Central High School in 1949. Jackie married James R. Browne on January 10, 1951, and they made their home in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with two children, James W. and Candace. Jackie was employed by Haga Photography. She enjoyed playing bridge with friends, reading, and attending her children’s sporting events. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband, Jim after “his” retirement.
She is survived by her two children, James W. Browne, Candace (and Tom) Tabor; one grandson, Jordan Tabor; and several nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by loving husband, James R. Browne, and her parents.
Jackie’s family extends their heartfelt appreciation to all the staff at Prairie Senior Cottages for their wonderful care the past 8 years.
