Irwin Tallakson

Irwin W. Tallakson, age 93, of Willmar, died Friday, Sept. 27, at Glen Oaks Care Center in New London.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery.

He is survived by three children, Wendy (and Richard) Olson of Willmar, Gerald Tallakson of Spicer and Bradley Tallakson of Spicer; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter and former daughter-in-law, Pat Erdman (and Marlow) of Midlothian, TX.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Byrma in 2016; one son, Gary; his parents; one brother and one sister.

Irwin loved to travel, snowmobile and pilot small airplanes.  He was one of the first to have a pilots license in the Willmar community.  Irwin loved square dancing and volunteering at this church, the First Presbyterian Church in Willmar.
