Irma Leticia Fuentes was born on January 14, 1968, in Florida, Copán, Honduras, to Ines Fuentes and Judith Lopez. From a young age, Irma had a kind heart and a deep desire to help others. She attended college in Honduras, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in education. In 2004, Irma came to the United States, where she made her home in Willmar, Minnesota. She worked at Jennie-O Foods and built a life surrounded by family and friends who loved her deeply.
Irma was raised in the Catholic faith, and her strong belief in God guided her through every chapter of her life. She loved playing volleyball and basketball in summer leagues, listening to music, and spending time with the people she loved most. Her laughter, warmth, and caring spirit touched everyone who knew her.
Irma is survived by her mother, Judith Lopez of Honduras; her three children, Francis Vian of Roseburg, OR, Ian Fuentes (and Nora Cruz) of Willmar, MN, and Lizz Suarez of Roseburg, OR; and her three precious grandchildren, Arya, Ian, and Johan.
