Harold Oliver Maier, 92, of Atwater died Saturday at the Rice Care Center in Willmar.
The service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Church near Atwater. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Atwater Funeral Home and at the church before the service. Memorials to the church, Rice Hospice or the American Diabetes Association are preferred.
He was born on Feb. 6, 1914, to Joseph and Carrie (Behm) Maier in Harrison Township, Kandiyohi County. He grew up in the township and attended District 3 School.
He married Sylvia Norberg on Dec. 9, 1941. They lived and farmed the homestead until 2004 when they moved to Atwater.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Richard (and Lili) Maier of Delano and 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons: Dean and Bill; a granddaughter; and two brothers.
