George Menchaca

George Menchaca, age 31, of Kerkhoven, passed away Saturday morning, Oct. 31, at the St. Cloud Hospital from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, at the A/G Church in Willmar.  Visitation will  be one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be at the  San Fernando Cemetery III in San Antonio, Texas.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are strongly preferred.  Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home.  www.petersonbrothers.com

George Menchaca was born on December 26, 1988, in San Antonio, Texas, the son of David Baladez and Gloria Menchaca.  He grew up in San Antonio and Murdock, Minnesota.  He graduated from KMS High School in 2006 and attended college at Ridgewater and Canby, earning a degree as a dental hygienist.  He was employed at the Jessica Falk Dental Clinic in Willmar and also worked as a P.C.A. for Divine House, Inc.  George attended the A/G Church in Willmar.  He had a strong faith in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  He participated in the Walk of Faith (walking from Willmar to Duluth) and a Mission trip to Dubai.  George enjoyed painting, shopping and spending time with those he loved, his family and friends.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Gloria Menchaca (and Santiago Cuellar Sr.) of Kerkhoven; three brothers, Ezequel, Santiago Jr. and Emmanuel; his grandparents, and his faithful canine companion, Mikey, besides many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Maria DeJesus Davila.
