Frances Marie Freeburg

It is with hearts full of love and joy and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to everyone she met, Frances Freeburg, who crossed over to her eternal home on August 6, at the age of 92.

A celebration of Frances's life will begin with a time of visitation on Friday evening, September 11, from 5-7 PM, at the Nazarene Church in Willmar. Her memory will continue Saturday morning at 10 AM with a time of visitation with her family followed by her memorial service at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Nazarene, located at 515 12th St SW, Willmar, MN. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor Frances's memory, sharing stories and remembering the profound impact she had on so many lives.

A simple luncheon, featuring peanut butter sandwiches, hot-dishes, and a few desserts, will be served following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Frances's generous spirit and her lifelong commitment to helping others.  Arrangements are entrusted to Peterson Brothers Funeral Home. www.petersonbrothers.com

Born on February 22, 1934, in Centerville, Iowa, Frances lived a life filled with love, devotion, and a deep sense of purpose. Frances was the beloved wife of the late Reverend Brandt Freeburg, with whom she shared an adventurous journey of 57 years, beginning on March 1, 1951, when they wed in Eldorado, Kansas. Together, they created a family rooted in love, respect, and faith, and were blessed with five children: Deborah Freeburg, Stanley (Janelle) Freeburg, Tony (Cynthia) Freeburg, Rodney (Debbie) Freeburg, and Daniel Freeburg. Her legacy continued to blossom through her 14 cherished grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, each of whom Frances adored and nurtured with all her heart.

Frances dedicated her life to caring for others. She was a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), offering comfort and dignity to the elderly in nursing facilities for many years. Her career was more than a job; it was a calling, reflecting her deep-seated belief in the sanctity of life and her unwavering positivity about God and His gifts.

A gifted pianist, Frances had the remarkable ability to bring people together through music and conversation, sharing her joy and love with all who crossed her path. Her warmth and openness made everyone feel welcome and valued, and her love knew no bounds.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Bethesda Grand for their dedicated and loving care during Frances's final days.

Frances Freeburg's life was a testament to love, faith, and perseverance. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and her legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire us all.
