Forrest Honebrink

Forrest A. Honebrink, age 83, of Willmar, passed away Saturday morning, Oct. 24, at Carris Health Rice Care Center in Willmar.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, at the First Covenant Church Gymnasium in Willmar.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be at Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home.  www.petersonbrothers.com

Forrest Alvin Honebrink was born on October 2, 1937, in Montevideo, Minnesota, the son of Frank and Marvel (Lovhaug) Honebrink.  He grew up in Montevideo and Willmar and graduated from Willmar High School in 1955.  On January 30, 1960, Forrest was united in marriage to Theresa VanRosendal and they made their home in Willmar.  Forrest was employed at the West Central Tribune in the set-up, printing and circulation departments for well over 50 years.  He was an active member of the First Covenant Church, Spicer Lions Club and the Willmar Car Club.  His hobbies included  classic cars, fishing and traveling with Theresa to many states, throughout Europe and several bus tours to Branson.

He is survived by two siblings, Fransje Kuperus of Willmar and Ralph (and KarenRae) Honebrink of Atwater and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, besides other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Theresa in 2015; one brother, Gary Honebrink and one nephew, Brian Kuperus.
