Delores Heidecker

Delores J. Heidecker, age 78, of Willmar, passed away Tuesday evening, December 28, at Bethesda Grand in Willmar.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, at the A/G Church in Willmar.   Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Arrangements are entrusted to Peterson Brothers Funeral Home.  www.petersonbrothers.com

Delores Joan Heidecker was born on October 27, 1943, in Willmar, Minnesota, the daughter of Reuben and Dorothea (Haymer) Nelson.  She grew up in Willmar, was baptized and confirmed at the First Presbyterian Church and graduated from Willmar High School in 1961.  On July 2, 1961, Delores was united in marriage to John George Heidecker at her parents home.  They lived West of Willmar and farmed dairy, crops and cattle.  Delores worked hard as a farm wife and homemaker raising her four children.  She enjoyed sewing, crafts, cooking, traveling and anything cats.

She is survived by her four children, Richard (and Theresa) Heidecker of Willmar, Jim (and Amy) Heidecker of Rapid City, South Dakota, Linda (and Brian) Hinkemeyer of Pennock and Lisa Heidecker of Lake Lillian; twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren, besides other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Heidecker (Schmitz); one grandson, Jeremy Hinkemeyer; her twin sister, Deloria and one brother, Duane.
