Daniel "Dan" W. Stien, age 63, of Lake Lillian, passed away Monday, November 17, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. followed by his celebration of life service at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, at Vinje Lutheran Church. Arrangements are entrusted to the Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. www.petersonbrothers.com

Dan was born on June 23, 1962, in Willmar, Minnesota, the son of Raymond and Donna (Baker) Stien. He grew up in Willmar, graduated from Willmar High School in 1980 and later from St. Cloud Vo-Tech. He worked at Leaders Manufacturing in Willmar, Hutchinson Manufacturing and Baumgardner Environics Inc. in Olivia. Dan enjoyed rebuilding lawn mowers, fishing, traveling, garage sales and attending fairs.

He is survived by his four sons, Joshua Stien of Atwater, Austin (and Nyssa) Stien of Willmar, Nicholas (and Amy) Stien of San Diego, CA., and Camden Stien (and Paige) of Willmar; and three grandchildren, Myles, Kayson and Malorie. Also surviving six siblings, Michael Stien of Los Angeles, CA., Kathy Goosmann of Kandiyohi, LeAnn (and Mark) Nelson of Willmar, Dawn (and Craig) Marks of Wells, Linda (and Gary) Phillips of West Salem, WI., and Stacy Stien of Willmar; and his special friend, Jody Hullett of Westbrook, besides several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Patrick.
