Christine Marcus

Christine Lee Marcus, age 51 of Willmar, passed away Saturday afternoon, July 4, at Bethesda Grand in Willmar.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 13, at the Eagle Lake Lutheran Cemetery north of Willmar.  Dress is casual.  Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.  www.petersonbrothers.com

Christine Lee Marcus was born on March 6, 1969, in Willmar, Minnesota, the daughter of Marshall and Marlene (Bauer) Pederson.  She grew up in Willmar and graduated from Willmar High School in 1987.  On September 21, 2002, Christine was united in marriage to Paul Marcus and they made their home in the Willmar community.  Over the years, Christine worked at J.C. Penny, Willmar School District, Duininck Brothers Construction, Cub Foods, Wal-Mart and Hobby Lobby.  She cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Her hobbies included cooking, riding horseback, fishing, camping, motor cycling, flowers and plants.

She is survived by her husband, Paul of Willmar; five children, Brian (and Kelly) Marcus of Minnetrista, Jessie (and Leslie) Olson of Raymond, Joseph Marcus of Svea, Nicole Olson (and Alex) of Willmar and Dustin Olson of Raymond; eight grandchildren; and one brother, LeRoy Pederson of Willmar, besides other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Kurt Olson.
