Charles Milton Holman was born on May 21, 1942, in Park Rapids, Minnesota, the son of Milton and Ethel (Warner) Holman.  His early childhood years included time in California and Texas but were mostly spent in Park Rapids, Minnesota.  He graduated from Silver Bay High School in 1960 and attended college at the U of M Duluth and U of MN Minneapolis, graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering.  Charles was married to Jean Elvira Skoglund 56 years ago.  They made their home in Silver Bay and Minneapolis before moving to Atwater in 1974.  He was employed at Reserve Mining Company in Silver Bay and at MagCon in Minneapolis.  He and two business partners founded SysTec in Minneapolis.  Later he founded the Solid State Time Company in Atwater.  Charles and Jean enjoyed traveling, helping others, spending their winters down in Texas and helping prepare for our annual spiritual conventions.  He loved God, family, reading his bible, friendships and going to every meeting, which fed his soul.  He grew up enjoying home fellowship meetings like his parents and grandparents did before him.

He is survived by his wife, Jean of Atwater; three children, Lorna (and Jerry) Topinka of Menasha, WI., Juanita (and Doug) Bergh of Casselton, ND., and Brad Holman of Springfield, MO.; five grandchildren, Brett and Britney Topinka, Cassie (and Daniel) Simpson, Allison and Matthew Bergh.  Also surviving are two brothers, Roger (and Kathy) Holman of Chisholm, MN., and Tim (and Lois) Holman of Liberty Lake, WA.; three sisters, Beverly (and Bob) Simmons of Greenville, MI., Darlene Spars (and Stephen Hancock) of Naples, FL., and Adelle Jorgenson of Harris, MN., besides other relatives and friends.
