Carol Faber

Carol Faber, age 84, of Willmar, died Thursday afternoon, April 12, at Prairie Senior Cottages in Willmar.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, at Rock of Life Christian Reformed Church in Willmar. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Willmar. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, April 16, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org).

Carol Joanne Faber was born December 5, 1933, in Grove City, Minnesota, the daughter of Sam and Thea (Larson) Hoiseth. As a child her family moved to Willmar where she grew up and received her education, graduating from Willmar High School in 1951. Carol then worked at Woolworths's in Willmar. On April 30, 1953, she married Lowell Faber at the First Christian Reformed Church parsonage in Prinsburg, Carol and Lowell lived with Lowell's parents for a short time before moving to Willmar in 1954. Carol sold Avon and worked at JCPenney and later as a dietary aide at the Willmar Regional Treatment Center for 17 years.

Carol was a member of Rock of Life Christian Reformed Church in Willmar, She was active in bowling league and enjoyed camping and flower gardening. She also enjoyed traveling to Texas and Arizona for winter vacations and having morning coffee with the neighbor ladies.

She is survived by her husband: Lowell of Willmar; three sons: Gary (and Vonna) Faber of Pennock, Lyle (and Kristi) Faber of Cold Spring, and Kevin Faber of Belgrade; two daughters, Carla (and Jeff) Laumb of Spicer and Beth (and Todd) Lief of New London; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law: Larry Faber (and Rose Hayden) of Willmar; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother: Leander Hoiseth; a sister: Delores Hutchens; and two granddaughters.
