Beth Ann Tinklenberg, age 38, of Willmar, died Sunday afternoon, July 8, at the Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park from pneumonia with heart and respiratory complications after surviving Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 12, at Vinje Lutheran Church. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation hours are from 5-8 P.M. on Wednesday, July 11, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred.
Beth was born on July 19, 1968, in Willmar, Minnesota, the daughter of Paul and Gail (Williams) Magnuson. She grew up in Willmar, was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary's Catholic Church and graduated from Willmar High School in 1986. She was a member of the 1985 Minnesota State Championship golf team. Beth attended Texas Christian University on a golf scholarship and later received her business degree from Southwest State University in Marshall. On March 18, 1989, she was married to Paul Tinklenberg. They made their home in Ortonville for 14 years, where Beth was employed by Big Stone County and other businesses. She also coached the girl's golf team at Lac Qui Parle High School. They were blessed with three children. In September of 2003, the family moved to Willmar. Beth was an active supporter of her churches, Relay for Life, her children's activities and was president of the Willmar Stingrays Swimming Club.
She is survived by her husband, Paul of Willmar; three children, Alissa, Sara and Joshua, all at home; her parents, Paul and Gail Magnuson of Willmar; one brother, Ross (and Kelly) Magnuson of Willmar and one sister, Jill Marciniak of Alexandria, besides other relatives and friends. Beth was preceded in death by her grandparents and one uncle, John Magnuson.
