Anthony Bryan Hedlof (37) was born and raised in Blomkest, MN. Although cancer took his life after two and half years, he never lost his strong will to live. He earned his wings on December 17, 2017.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 am on Saturday December 23rd, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Willmar, MN. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm on December 22nd at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Willmar, MN. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home.
Anthony was born October 1st, 1980 the son of Bryan and Donna Hedlof in Willmar, MN. He attended and graduated from Willmar Public Schools in 1999. He continued his education at University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN where in 2003 he earned his BA in Entrepreneurship, he graduated with honors. Anthony enjoyed playing football in high school and college, he later coached and mentored at North Saint Paul High School. Anthony went on to own his business, Hedlof Capital, for ten years. He later returned to Blomkest to own and operate Sköna Gris and the family farm.
Anthony considered himself an old soul. He loved Frank Sinatra, the color purple, entertaining, and was the ultimate party planner. He had a soft spot for Porter his dog and his niece and nephews. Anthony was confident, loved a good debate, and never turned away from a challenge. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed being active. He was known for his signature and specialty gifts.
Alissa Ricci has been the love of Anthony's life. They met in July 2013 when he was becoming reacquainted with his hometown, and she has not left his side since. His family and friends were immensely important to him.
Anthony will be remembered for his courageous spirit. He showed relentless strength and chose to never give up in tough times. He is loved by so many and has left a remarkable print on this world.
Surviving loved ones are Alissa Ricci (significant other) of Spicer, MN; Parents Bryan and Donna (Serie) Hedlof of Spicer, MN; siblings Laura (Hedlof) and Ryan Harper of Brooklyn Park, MN; Philip and Danielle Hedlof of Waconia, MN; Steven Hedlof of Minneapolis, MN; nephews Quintin Hedlof, Liam Harper, Sawyer Hedlof; niece Terryian Harper; Grandmother Joyce Serie of Tyler, MN; and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Anthony is preceded in death by Harris and Angela Hedlof paternal grandparents; Luverle (L.J.) Serie maternal grandfather.
