Alice Ann Houck, age 72, of Atwater, passed away Monday, June 23, at Bethesda Grand in Willmar following a brief illness.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by her celebration of life service at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. Interment will be at Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery. www.petersonbrothers.com
Alice was born on July 4, 1952, in Hutchinson, Minnesota, the daughter of Ralph and Elizabeth (Tolberson) Doering. The family moved to Atwater in 1962, and she graduated from Atwater High School in 1971. Alice worked a variety of short-term jobs prior to working at Gurley Foods for over 15 years. She enjoyed playing bingo, cross stitch, reading and watching John Wayne movies. Alice unconditionally loved all her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her three children, Jolene (and Jason) Bulman of Clara City, Rebecca Houck (and Jamie Dresser) of Willmar and Roselyn (and Richard) Lennes of Alexandria; five grandchildren, Zachary Krogman (and Robert Smith), Gabriel Galvan, Calla Hildahl, Cadence Hildahl and Cora Dresser; one brother, Lawrence Doering of Clara City; one sister, Donna Doering of Sioux Falls, SD.; two sisters-in-law, Karen Doering of Paynesville and Joan Doering of Buffalo Lake; many nieces and nephews; her dog, Maisy and her cats, Random and Precious.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Charles, Daniel, James and Michael.
