Adeline Margaret (Jennissen) Nelson was born October 6, 1937, on the family farm near Padua, Minnesota, the daughter of Joseph and Clara (Wessel) Jennissen.  She grew up on the family farm, attended District #53 Country School and Sauk Centre High School, graduating in 1955.  Adeline was baptized and confirmed at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church of Padua.  She lived on the family farm helping with chores and milking until moving to town.

In 1957 at the Brooten Theater, Adeline met Harlan Lawrence Nelson, the love of her life.  They were united in marriage on August 22, 1957, celebrating 60 fabulous years together.  God blessed Harlan and Adie with four children, Daniel, Kimberly, Bradley and Lisa.  This blessing was extended with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Adie and Harlan began their life together in Phoenix, Arizona, where they started their family. They later moved back to Minnesota and lived in the communities of Austin, Kandiyohi, Willmar and New London.  Adie was a homemaker, busy at home raising their children, until Lisa started kindergarten.  She began her employment with Willmar Public Schools, working 25 years as a paraprofessional, helping children in the classroom.  In 1990, honoring Adie’s love for the lake, Harlan built their lake home on Norway Lake, where many fond family memories have been made.

She is survived by her four children, Daniel (and Eileen) Nelson of Pennock, Kimberly Davis of New London, Bradley Nelson of Willmar and Lisa Nelson of Pennock; seven grandchildren, Jackie (and Jeffrey) Stegeman, Jason Nelson, Joshua (and Shelly) Nelson, Justen Nelson, Megan Davis (and Steve Peppin), Shelby (and Andres) Heiling and Austin Eliason and twelve great grandchildren, Cheyenne, Tristin, Cody, Brody, Eliza, Charlie, Max, Maysen, Maya, Madeline, Ellisyn and Quinten.  Also surviving are three sisters-in-law, Mary Jennissen, Sandra (Nelson) Hutchinson and Marilyn Nelson; and her God Children, Jean, Nancy, Lance and Nancy; besides many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harlan in 2017; two brothers, Aloysius and Roman and two brothers-in-law, Roger Nelson and John Hutchinson.
