Adeline Maxine (Halls) Kotzenmacher was born June 12, 1932. She grew up on a farm near Terrace, MN and graduated from Glenwood High School. She married Math Kotzenmacher after being set up on a blind date and dating. They raised seven children, Linda, Greg, Steve, Ron, Diane, Karen, and Jerry. She was a very talented seamstress, sewing beautiful clothes for her children throughout their lives and for many special occasions.
In her later years, a highlight of hers was going out to eat with family and not having to cook or clean up anymore. She kept a well-organized and meticulous home and shared her self-taught knowledge with family. She enjoyed reading clean fiction and nonfiction books and always disliked and overlooked any swearing in them, remembering details that a much younger person did not recall.
Our mother was a lovely, kind person as witnessed by other people throughout her life. Her later years became more difficult as glaucoma robbed much of her vision and CHF decreased her mobility. Her memory was sharp right up to the end. Her family was her greatest joy. Adeline was always proud of her seventeen grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren. We loved our mom and have never ever felt unloved.
Adeline is survived by her seven children, Linda (Steve) Johnson and children, Anne, Sarah and Collin; Greg (Annette) Kotzenmacher and children, Casey and Jason; Steve (Lori) Kotzenmacher and children, Ryan, Daren and Shelby; Ron (Lorri) Kotzenmacher and children, Jenny, Darcie, Kyle and Darrin; Diane (Todd) Birkland and children, Anders and Anica; Karen Swenson, and son, Tanner; Jerry (Cynthia) Kotzenmacher and children, Trent and Neil; and 27 great grandchildren, besides other relatives.
Adeline was preceded in death by her life partner and husband, Math.
