Abby Jo Jones

Abby Jo Jones, age 35, of Oceanside, California, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 7, at her residence, following heart complications.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. followed by her funeral service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 27, at Calvary Lutheran Church. Interment will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Peterson Brothers Funeral Home. www.petersonbrothers.com

Abby Jo was born on November 20, 1990, in Willmar, Minnesota, the daughter of Dustan and Cari (Cain) Jones. She grew up in Elk River and graduated from Elk River High School in 2008. Following high school, she moved to California and began work as a restaurant manager. Abby Jo was married to Nick Fellows and they later separated. Abby Jo met her life partner, Tyler O’Malley and they were blessed with two children, Kayden and Sophie. Recently Abby Jo returned to school, earning a degree in Nursing from Stanbridge University. She was employed as a LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) in dermatology at Scripps Clinic in Oceanside, CA.

She is survived by her two children, Kayden and Sophie and life partner, Tyler, all of Oceanside, CA.; her parents, Dustan Jones of Willmar, and Cari Jo Jones of Elk River; five siblings, Dylan, Isabelle, Cassy, Riley and Kyle; and numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
