Wilhelmina Rabine

March 15, 1925 — October 10, 2015

Wilhelmina M. "Willie" Rabine, age 90, of Willmar, died Saturday morning, October 10, at the Clara City Care Center in Clara City.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 16, at the Willmar Bible Church. Interment will be at the Paynesville Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

Wilhelmina M. "Willie" Rabine was born on March 15, 1925, in Pipestone, Minnesota, the daughter of Walter and Kate (Evink) Van Eps. She grew up in the Pipestone area, went to high school in Chandler and later attended Northwestern Bible College. In May of 1946, Willie was married to Marcus Noordmans. They made their home in Cyrus and were blessed with four children, Duane, Teri, Marcy and Jeffrey. In 1968, they moved to Priam. On January 1, 1982, Willie was married to the Rev. Philip Rabine. They lived throughout the upper Midwest and Canada. In October of 1995, Philip died and Willie later moved into Willmar. She was a member of the Willmar Bible Church. Willie donated her life to helping others, including working as a nurse's aide and foster parent for the handicap. She also taught Sunday School and Clavinettes Girls Club for many years. As hobbies, Willie enjoyed crocheting and sewing, especially dresses for African children.

Willie is survived by three children, Duane "Dewey" (and Alvina) Noordmans of Willmar, Teri (and Marv) Asche of Raymond and Marcy (and Bruce) Swanson of Willmar; eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Tracy (and Lee) Sander of Cold Spring and a daughter-in-law, Becky (and Ken) Price of New London, Wisconsin, besides other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; one son, Jeffrey "Dewey" in May of 2003; ten brothers and one sister.
