Tommy was unique individual with a heart of gold. I've got many funny stories about working with him. My favorite was when he was wrapping up a cart of product to deliver and his belt broke. His pants fell to his ankles but he shuffling around the cart, wrapping until he was done. Then he pulled his pants up, grinned and looked for a piece of rope to hold his pants up the rest of the day! He was a brother to everyone here, me included. He also loved going to fellow employees kids' events.Tim Koehn

I have all good and kind memories of Tom. He could make me laugh and be goofy, but also was a caring and kind soul. My fondest memories are just time spent together with Tom and good friends. He will always be remembered as a very caring man, with a very big heart!Sarah Tobiason

My heart breaks for Tom, his mother and sisters, and his nieces and nephews whom he loved so, so much. I am so sorry for your loss! Tom was an exceptional man. We met more than thirty years ago in the Willmar Community College choir--my life was changed because of Tom and all the others I became friends with then. Changed for the better! There was no person sweeter than Tom. I remember when we were dating that we talked several times about how hard it was for him to lose his dad at such a young age--now we're all feeling the same way about Tom! I never expected the next time I would see you would be this way, Tom. I'm so sorry, my dear friend! "Go rest high on that mountain, son your work on earth is done! Go to heaven a shoutin' love for the Father and the Son!" You will be greatly, greatly missed!!

I knew Tommy for many years, we worked together even before he was at ABF. He was a sweetheart from the start. After working together for well over a year, Tommy came into my office and laid down a playbill from my senior year in high school, he said- I knew I knew you from somewhere before here! We laughed for many years about that- we both loved musical theater, and he was a good friend. Tom beat to his own drum and that was what I loved about him. He had a heart of gold, would do anything for his friends, and was very compassionate. I will miss him and my heart goes out to his family. Peace to you all. Amy Bursey (Nunnelee)
