Always had fun with him...learned so much from him too...especially when he took me with him and his youth group to Eli MN. There we canoed and portaged ....I had no idea what portaging was! Needless to say, I was too short to carry an end of the canoe, or even help in the middle...so I carried two 30 -40 lb backpacks. I carried them both at the same time!! Not so easy getting up once you have fallen with 2 packs on...felt like a turtle! Uncle Floyd had a laugh!!! Then I was able to laugh at him when he pushed us off in our canoe from the shore, swarming with mosquito, and he slipped and fell all the way in the water. His first instinct was to grab his wallet....wallet? In the Boundary Waters?? He laughed at himself even more, getting all wet in shallow water...but wet is wet! :) He would say too, that the best wallpaper in a bathroom is a toilet in nature, called it the seating of a king's throne! Many fun times at the fire pits and trails too. Miss him.
