Nancy Rime

Nancy Rime, age 68, of Spicer, died Thursday evening, February 4, at Scandia Assisted Living in Willmar.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 12, at Faith Lutheran Church in Spicer. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, February 11, at the church and one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Green Lake Funeral Home in Spicer, www.petersonbrothers.com.

Nancy Lee Rime was born June 8, 1947, in Willmar, Minnesota, the daughter of Lester "Swen" and Marion (Thonvold) Rime. She grew up in Spicer and attended New London-Spicer schools, graduating in 1965. Nancy worked as a bookkeeper for several area businesses, including Vegdahl's Hardware, Marketing Concepts, Lutheran Social Services and Dahmes Stainless before retiring in December 2010. She also attended Ridgewater College while working and obtained her paralegal degree. She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church and volunteered at the Welcome Center. She also enjoyed her meetings with the Club House Girls.

Nancy is survived by her two children, Sabrina (and Donald) Bechtold of Sartell, and Steven Rime (and fiancé, Katasha Brown) of Woodbury; four grandchildren, Shayna Nelson, Jonathon Garvick, Braelin Rime, and Jax Rime; her mother, Marion Rime of Spicer; a brother, Tony (and Susan) Rime of Spicer, three sisters, Karen (and David) Kosse of Poolville, TX, Judy (and Robert) Dickhoff of Belgrade, and Carol (and Scott) Nelson of Litchfield, her daughter-in-law, Andrea Ruplinger of Willmar; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Swen; and a great-niece, Jocelyn.
