Kenneth Hensch, age 89, of Willmar, died Friday evening, August 26, at Rice Care Center in Willmar.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Kenneth Charles Hensch was born February 26, 1927, in Prior Lake, Minnesota, the son of August and Hattie (Tessmer) Hensch. He moved to the Montevideo area with his family when he was four years old. In 1938, his family moved to the DeGraff area, where Kenneth completed his education at the District 28 rural school. On October 6, 1945, he married Rosabelle Logan at the parsonage of the Congreagational Church in Benson. They loved and farmed in Cashel Township near DeGraff until 1954, when they moved to the Murdock area for three years. They then moved to the Brooten area, where they lived and farmed until their retirement from farming. Kenneth and Rosabelle then moved into Willmar and Kenneth began working for the Willmar Bus Company and drove bus for 23 years before retiring in 2002.

Kenneth was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church since 1971. He was also a former member of 4-H and the Kandiyohi County Singers. He and Rosabelle were also foster parents and cared for 14 foster children over the years. Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reading.

He is survived by his wife, Rosabelle; four children, Frank Hensch of Motley, Carol (and Dave) Ashton of White Bear Lake, Betty (and Dave) Radabaugh of Willmar, and Dennis (and Barbara) Hensch of North Branch; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Fred, Walter, Ernest, Robert, and Raymond; and seven sisters, Luella, Bertha, Mildred, Alma, Dorothy, Mary, and Maybelle.
