Eldon Marvin Felt was born August 28, 1939, in Wakefield, Nebraska, the son of Reuben and Inez (Felt) Olson. Eldon's mother died two days after his birth. At the age of four, Eldon and his twin sister were adopted by their uncle, Robert Felt, and his wife, Nora, of rural Kerkhoven, Minnesota. It was on their family farm where Eldon lived his remaining 73 years of life.

Eldon attended Frank Lake Covenant Church. He received his education at a country grade school and attending Kerkhoven High School, graduating in 1957. Eldon married Mary Ellen Lindell on June 18, 1966 at the Evangelical Covenant Church in LaBolt, South Dakota. Their marriage of nearly 51 years was blessed with two children, James and Janene, who they raised on the family farm.

Eldon was a dairy farmer for 38 years and continued raising cattle and farming the land for several more years. He was ambitious, with a strong work ethic, and a good steward of the land. He was helpful to his neighbors, inventive, and creative. In his retirement he enjoyed being a bus driver. He also served on various church, civic and corporate boards.

Eldon is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen; a son, Jim (and Stephanie) Felt and their children, Jesse, Sadie, and Cloe; a daughter Janene Felt; his twin sister, Evelyn (and Bob) Corens; a brother, Daryl (and Karen) Olson; two sisters-in-law, Barbara (and Duane) Schlomer and Jane Lindell; and other relatives and friends.
