June 29, 1932 — December 10, 2014

Donna June Sundberg was born in Isanti County, Minnesota, the 8th child of Andrew and Emma (Hamren) Rask. She grew up and attended schools in Isanti County and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1950. Donna worked as a grocery clerk, postal clerk and telephone operator in Isanti during her teens. She and all members of her family loved music and could be found singing at various functions and churches throughout the Isanti community. On August 22, 1952, at the Elim Baptist Church in Isanti, Donna was married to Burton L. Sundberg. They made their home in Isanti until 1957, when they moved to Willmar. Donna worked part time as a substitute bookmobile and van driver for the local Pioneerland Library and also drove for the Kandiyohi County Family Services bringing people to various hospitals in the Metro area. Many of those patients became dear friends because of her sweet disposition and kindness. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church and served with Girls Missionary Guild, choir, Sunday School and youth activities, missions committees and various service committees. Donna received Jesus Christ as her Savior at a young age and was baptized shortly there after. She was a strong witness to the Lord and taught her four children about the Savior and salvation with love and passion. Donna had a passion for music. She especially enjoyed concerts, music in Rice Park, sing alongs at Jazz & Java and hymn sings (large or small).

She is survived by her loving husband, Burton of Willmar; one son, Craig Sundberg of Cambridge; three daughters, Greta (and Glen) Pridgen of Athens, GA., Karen Brower of Willmar and Karol (and Gordy) Jacobson of Franklin, OH.; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Bette Sundberg and Ruth Larson, both of Cambridge, besides other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Alton and Norman; three sisters, Martha, Elvera and Anna; and one daughter-in-law, Glori.

The family would thank Pastor Lutz, members of First Baptist Church, and their neighbors for their prayers and concerns; the staff at Bethesda Homes for their love and care over the past two years; and their extended family for all their prayers and visits.
