Bernard Wiese

January 30, 1941 — September 28, 2015

Bernard "Bernie" G. Wiese, age 74, of Spicer, died unexpectedly on Monday, September 28, at his home in rural Spicer.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. Interment will be at the East Norway Lake Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. www.petersonbrothers.com

Bernard "Bernie" Gaylin Wiese was born January 30, 1941 to William R. and Irene (McIntosh) Wiese in Pine River, MN. He moved with his family to rural Spicer and in 1944 attended School District 62 through the eighth grade. He graduated from Willmar High School in 1959. Bernie lived with his mother after his father passed away in 1962.  He worked as a carpenter, then for Rodiger Bait, McBroom Bros., Brotten Beekeeping and Fosso Farms. Bernie enjoyed taking his dog hunting, fishing, trapping and visiting.

He is survived by three sisters, Carol (and Arthur) Erickson of St. Cloud, Wilamine (and Francis) DeGrote of Willmar and Beverly (and Byron) Higgin of Grantsburg, WI., numerous nieces and nephews, besides other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William R. and Irene W. Wiese and two brothers William Douglas Wiese of Munds Park, AZ and Garrett L. Wiese of Cottonwood, AZ.
