Dwayne Hovey, age 61, of Atwater, died unexpectedly on Tuesday afternoon, February 5, at his home in Atwater.
The family will be holding a memorial service for Dwayne at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 23, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Atwater with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
Dwayne was born 12/3/1957 to Allen (Ole) and Muriel (Johnson) Hovey in Atwater where he grew up and graduated from Atwater High School in 1976. He attended Dunwoody Institute to become an electrician and worked most of his adult life at Jennie-O Turkey Plants in Willmar and Montevideo. He is survived by sister Jan Keehn of Inver Grove Heights and brother Dean and (Shellie) Hovey of Dayton, nephews Chad Keehn of Inver Grove Heights and Evan Hovey of Dayton, and niece Tiffany Hovey of Los Angeles, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Jane Hovey.
