Clarence Carl Donnie Lansverk, Jr. age 54, of Sunburg, MN, died Friday, September 20th, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN, following a brief battle with cancer.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, September 30th, at Hope Lutheran Church in Sunburg. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 1st, at Hope Lutheran Church with visitation continuing one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Spring Creek Lutheran Cemetery near Sunburg.
Clarence Carl Donnie Lansverk, Jr. was born May 16th, 1965, in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, the son of Clarence and Dorothy (Olson) Lansverk. He grew up in Coon Rapids until 1971, when the family moved to the Sunburg area. He attended grade school in Sunburg and graduated from Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg High School. He then attended the Willmar Vo-Tech. In 1985, Donnie moved to California, where he worked as an engineer at the Hilton Airport Hotel in Los Angeles. In 1993, he moved back to the Sunburg area. He worked in construction and then for the DNR at Sibley State Park for six years. He currently worked at CNH Industrial in Benson.
For the past 20 years, he has lived on the family farm outside Sunburg. Donnie enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. His family and friends were most important to him and he was always willing to lend them a helping hand. He was loved and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
He is survived two sisters: Constance (and Rev. Galen) Carlson of St. Louis Park, and Pamela (and Shane) Keiser of Spicer; three nephews: Charlie, Spencer, and Savoy; two nieces: Angie and Shaylyn; two great-nieces: Havanna Rose and Mira Nancy; many cousins; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
