Wendy Morse

December 20, 1974 — February 4, 2016

Wendy M. Morse, age 41, of Atwater, died unexpectedly Thursday morning, February 4, at the St. Cloud Hospital.

A gathering to celebrate her life will be from 1-3 pm. on Saturday, February 13, at the Peterson Brothers Atwater Funeral Home in Atwater. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred. www.petersonbrothers.com

Wendy Marie Morse was born on December 20, 1974, in Willmar, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Delores (Jones) Munson. She grew up in Atwater, was baptized and confirmed at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Kandiyohi and graduated from Atwater-Grove City High School in 1993. Wendy attended Ridgewater College and then began working at Rice Memorial Hospital as a transcriptionist. On June 23, 2009, Wendy was united in marriage to Kurt J. Morse and they made their home in Atwater. Most recently Wendy was employed at the ACGC schools as a cook and was a volunteer for the Atwater Meals on Wheels program. Her hobbies included cooking, canoeing, caring for her pets, hay rides with family and friends and just being outdoors. Wendy was a wonderful mother to her children and homemaker to her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Kurt of Atwater; three children, Kayla (and Cody) Peterson of Big Lake, Abby Munson of Atwater and Cole Morse of Atwater; and one granddaughter, Murphy Peterson. Also surviving is her mother, Delores Munson of Atwater; one sister, Trisha (and Jerry) Huber of Prescott, WI.; one brother, Brad (and Sandra) Munson of Sauk Rapids; and her beloved pets, Roscoe, Cabela, Stirfry and Cali, besides other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Munson in 2012.
