Marybeth Dubord

Marybeth Dubord, age 81, of  Spicer, died Sunday afternoon, July 23, at Bethesda Club Suites in Willmar.
Memorial services will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, July 27, at Hope Presbyterian Church in Spicer. A private interment will be held later in the day at First Lutheran Cemetery in Grove City.  Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Wednesday at the Peterson Brothers Green Lake Funeral Home in Spicer and at the church one hour prior to the services.  (www.petersonbrothers.com)
Marybeth Ann Dubord was born on June 14, 1936 on the family farm in Swede Grove Township, Meeker County, Minnesota, the daughter of Arthur and Anne E. (Bloomquist) Erickson.  She grew up in the Grove City and Atwater areas and received her education in rural school.  She worked in the Minneapolis area working at different jobs and returning to the family farm on the weekends to help out on the farm.  In 1957, she was married to Robert Wall and they made their home in the New London/Spicer area. Marybeth worked as a cook at the Spicer School and later became the head cook at the New London/Spicer High School.  She  worked at the Willmar Regional Treatment Center as a Special Diet Cook until her retirement.  On March 9, 1995, she was married to Robert Dubord at her home in Spicer where  they continued to live.  Robert died in 2002.  Marybeth was a hard worker and enjoyed seeing things grow, including her gardens and family.  She enjoyed flower gardening, entertaining family and friends and was active in her church where she had served as a Deacon and was active in her church circle.
She is survived by three children: Dean (and Julie) Wall of Becker, Julie (and Dan) Beck of New London and Steve (and Reciel) Wall of Spicer.  Also surviving are two granddaughters: Seana and Chayla, one great grandchild, and two brothers: Willis (and Phyllis) Erickson of Coon Rapids and Clayton (and Michelle) Erickson of Clinton, IA., besides other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Dubord in 2002, and two brothers: Merton and Verland Erickson.
